About The Children's Trust
The Children’s Trust is a national charity providing a unique combination of care, education and therapy to some of the UK’s most severely disabled children, in a home-from-home environment. Some of these children have been born with disabilities whilst others have suffered a brain injury following a tragic accident or illness.
Why / our objective / the outcome
The care The Children’s Trust give comes at a cost and this is not fully met from statutory sources so they rely on donations to meet the full cost. By helping raise money and awareness for the Trust, we are playing a vital role in helping them to continue to provide care for children who desperately need it.
£7,500 would help pay for improving the play area so the children have better equipment along with providing multi-sensory equipment in the outside garden, or improve the parents’ accommodation that they have on site to allow the families to be close to their children – they have accommodation for 22 families at any one time.
- The Children’s Trust offer a range of residential rehabilitation services for children and young people with acquired brain injury.
- By supporting The Children’s Trust we will be able to help equip their gardens with multi-sensory equipment along with helping to improve the onsite parents’ accommodation.
