Bav and Alex do 10K for Cancer Research |
On a muggy day in September, two of the directors, namely Bav Majithia and Alex McBride, decided they'd run 10K for charity. With an abundance of charity events under their belts already this year, fitness levels should be high and they proved their worth with respectable times, both finishing well within the hour. The best bit however was that 10K was also the amount they raised between them for Cancer Research - A £10,000 donation raised through sponsorship. The day was fun by all accounts and completes a triathlon of events this year as it follows on from summer time charity swims and bike rides.

Genuine Solutions Support Rainbow Trust Firewalk |
The Rainbow Trust Childrens Charity organised their annual Firewalk event this year with the help and support of the GS marketing team. The team helped the charity to design and produce email marketing campaigns and posters for what promises to be another roaring success - pardon the pun.
The event last year raised much needed funding and gathered huge crowds to watch the fire juggling displays and then brave the walk on hot coals at 1200 degrees. "We dont mind designing the flyers, but walking on hot coals....not sure yet!" said the team. I'm sure they'll take part in some guise.

2 New Additions to the Genuine Solutions Group |
Genuine Solutions have made two additions to the team in Surrey, most notably is the appointment of Jamie Gordon from Regenersis Plc – formerly Fonebak, to join their environmental solutions divison, Genuine Solutions UK. Jamies position is similar to the one he held as Business Development Manager at Regenersis Plc, working on Take-Back schemes, managing both UK and European accounts for larger clients and new business. Jamie will be supporting GSUK as they grow the business and develop a range of Take-Back schemes for various sectors.
Chris McBride was impressed with what Jamie has bought to the table. “Jamies knowledge of how Take-Back schemes operate is invaluable to us as we move into and grow this aspect of the business. It is not just the fact that he dot the is and cross the ts, but he can relate to the needs of the customer and deliver beyond their expectations. We are expecting big things from Jamie
The second appointment is Daniel Bramford from Data Select, who joins the accessory team as a dealer manager. Daniel worked under Angus Dawes at Data Selects accessory division, Accessories Select. for 3 years.
Genuine Solutions sales director Alex McBride explains that Genuine Solutions is growing rapidly year on year, and finding dealer managers to throw in at the deep end is not always easy. He is the first to point out that Daniel is a very capable and knowledgeable addition to the team, and has already demonstrated he is up to the challenge.

Rainbow Trust Charity Bike Ride |
Supporting the Rainbow Trust is a big part of the job description at Genuine Solutions, and none more than Paul McBride appreciated what that meant last Sunday. He was one of 10 employees who took part in their charity bike ride, and his medal showed he wasn't just taking part. Well done to Paul and all the team who helped to raise over £5000 for the charity. The Rainbow Trust supports families with terminally ill children.
